Dear Peace CRC:  Thank you for your congregation’s recent gift of $613.  The Calvinist Cadet Corps relies on the financial support of churches to develop our ministry materials, which are used in more than 500 churches across North America and by Cadet clubs around the world.  Our mission is to help boys grow more Christlike in all areas of life.  Your gift will allows Christian men to build relationships with boys, mentoring them towards a lifetime of living for Jesus.
We are thankful for the moneys and prayers your congregation has offered for us, and we pray that God allows us to use these in ways that will further His kingdom.  We appreciate your congregation partnering with Cadets in ministry.  May God richly bless the ministry that your Cadet club provides to the boys in your community.
~ Steve Bootsma, Executive Director, Calvinist Cadet Corps, May 17, 2023 ~

Meetings are held the first three Wednesdays of the month from 7:00 to 8:30 pm during the months of September through April.
We hope to see you there!

CADETING is a boys' club where Christian men help boys grow spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally and socially as they explore God's Word and world through lessons, badge work, crafts and outings. The Goal of Cadeting: Luke 2:52 states that “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” The goal of Cadets, based upon that verse, is to help boys to grow spiritually in all areas of life (devotional, mental, physical, and social) by providing Christian men with a uniquely designed structure, program, and materials so that they can mentor boys effectively.

The Cadet Landmarks

The Cadet landmarks are the guideposts in the adventure called cadeting. The landmarks are something every Cadet must memorize and understand so that they will discover how the Lord is at work in their lives. They include understanding the meaning of the Cadet emblem and memorizing the verse, hymn, pledge, motto, and code.

The Cadet Emblem

The three Cs in the center of the shield have special meaning. Not only do they represent The Calvinist Cadet Corps name … they form a cross. This reminds us of God’s Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins.

Cadet Verse

“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” John 14:15

Cadet Pledge

Thankful to God for His gifts to me, I pledge myself to be ready to serve God, my parents, my country, my church, my neighbor, and my Corps.

Cadet Motto & Hymn

Living for Jesus

Cadet Code

A Cadet must be reverent, obedient, compassionate, consecrated, trustworthy, pure, grateful, loyal, industrious, and cheerful.

Founded in 1952, the Corps has more than 600 clubs throughout North America, a brother organization in Australia and New Zealand, and since 2006 has been working in Kenya and Uganda. The organization uses the title “Calvinist” to honor the Protestant reformer, John Calvin, who devoted his life to the religious education of God’s children.
