THE KINGDOM
Jesus told us to seek the kingdom of God first (Matthew 6:33). When we seek His Kingdom before anything elseā¦
We see a land glowing with effects of the death and resurrection of Jesus that expand out and up and deep until God is everything in everything, all in all. (Colossians 1:19-20; 1 Corinthians 15:28)
Where the citizens of the Kingdom are driven with a desire to draw more people into the glory of this kingdom (Matthew 28:20)
Where the last, the weak, the oppressed, the outsiders are prioritized over the wealthy and the powerful (Mark 10:31; Matthew 25:40)
Where truth is championed and lies are condemned.(Ephesians 4:25)
Where each person guards the dignity of the person next to them (Galatians 6:10)
Where every effort is made to create peace, and war and violence are always the last, regrettable resort (Hebrews 12:14)
Where nobility and excellence are praised and ugliness is transformed into beauty (Philippians 4:8)
Where the native language that is spoken is love, where every movement is expressed with joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23
Where citizenship is defined by both truth and grace, and is not limited by borders and barriers but is open to all who desire citizenship (Revelation 7:9-10)
We see this land, we seek this kingdom, and we reject and resist anything that hinders its arrival. Seeking this Kingdom, we follow the example of our King, who does not quarrel or cry out, who will not break bruised reeds or extinguish smoldering wicks as He leads justice to victory and brings hope to all nations. (Matthew 12:19-21)
The Kingdom of God is being politicized, causing division just as Jesus foretold in Luke 12:51. Hear God speak about aspects of His Kingdom that are currently causing conflict.
