HEALTH CARE
Basic and affordable health care is a complicated and divisive issue. But the Bible is clear: God commands us to do everything we can for the health and safety of other human beings.
From the Bible:
- Exodus 20:13: This command is part of the sixth command, to not murder
- Matthew 25:36-40: In the parable of the sheep and the goats, Jesus said, “When I was sick, you looked after me… Whatever did for the least of these brothers and sisters, you did for Me"
Our views about health care need to be faithful to these truths.
